Agnes was that character on the soap opera, that hostess on the children's programme, that weather reporter we used to see every day on one of Hong Kong's main television channels.
Max set type at a news publisher. Block by block, word by word, he compiled words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs, paragraphs into stories.
A dubbing project for Macau Television drew them together — and a shared passion for the dubbing industry sparked between them.
Together they founded Viva Production Limited, providing dubbing and subtitling.
In the summer of 1999, Dubbing House was established — with studios of its own.
Agnes and Max, they care. A lot. About their people, their products, their partners and their industry. Welcome to Dubbing House.
“It is definitely a niche market, and one that is mysterious to a lot of people. We want to help change that, by making the industry more accessible to people who are interested, building a cohesive community and establishing a common ground so that the industry would stay stronger than ever.
— Agnes Lam, Co-founder & Director
“We are always inspired by our dubbing artists, translators, composers, technicians, and partners. We share the same core value. We care. We care about what we do, and we want to do it right. The end product, which consists of different people achieving something together with a common purpose, is powerful and beautiful.
— Max Wong, Co-founder & Director
Each and every one of our team members is a gem, gifted with unique talents. Together, they bring out the best of the house.
